After decades of international experience at world-renowned firms, we founded studioSALT in 2018 with a simple goal: to work with nice people, on interesting projects, and have fun doing it. A Director of the African Institute of Interior Design Professions and a former Chair of the American Society of Interior Designers, Charrisse led the interiors practice at an international architecture & design firm based in LA before co-founding studioSALT. She loves working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and tastes, and she applies her background in behavioral biology to create spaces that support mental and physical well-being. Her expertise lies in interior architecture / interior design, project management and design strategy.

Ian's 40-year award-winning architectural career has taken him all over the world, with projects in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the US. He has worked with a wide variety of building types and scales, from the Hong Kong International Airport and NVDIA's Silicon Valley corporate headquarters to a hotel & conference center master plan in Instanbul and a luxury apartment complex in Honolulu. Ian is studioSALT's architectural planning and construction expert. He has a particular interest in marrying local vernacular with modern day building materials and techniques.
